CLIENTSSince 2004, MULTIPLY has helped many nonprofit organizations and institutions from across Quebec develop and enhance their operations, leading to more efficient functioning and the achievement of financial goals. Whether it is an arts organization, educational institution, community group, heath services centre, or any other type of nonprofit, MULTIPLY offers a special, very personalized approach to your needs. Here are some of the clients that have enlisted MULTIPLY to help achieve their goals.MAISON EMMANUEL FOUNDATIONA therapeutic, life-sharing community for adolescents and adults in need of special care, Maison Emmanuel offers a model of community living with disabled people that nurtures the capacity to care for each other and facilitates the growth and development of each member. The organization strives to improve the quality of life for all its members, so they too can have a progressively active role in meeting the needs of the wider community and become increasingly self sufficient. From Audrey Schirmir, Past President of the Maison Emmanuel Board of Directors, and current member: "We were looking for someone to help with fundraising and to help get the Foundation on a stronger footing. Yvette did just that, helping to set up a three-year fundraising campaign for Maison Emmanuel, and giving a big push in the right direction. I am happy to say that our three-year campaign ended successfully last year (2008), raising the amount we set out to raise and, the foundation has become more proactive and stronger. Yvette Rambour is great to work with – her lively spirit was contagious. She was very helpful in pulling together the Maison Emmanuel Foundation Board, which had not functioned to any extent in years. She has a lot of varied experience working with people, and is full of energy and enthusiasm, which is contagious. Yvette listens to others. She is totally committed to helping grassroots organizations and small community initiatives find their way in the fundraising world, and I would highly recommend her services.” HEAD AND HANDSHeads and Hands works to promote the physical and mental well being of Montreal youth. Offering preventative, non-judgmental, and holistic services, Head and Hands facilitates social change and the empowerment of youth based on their current needs within our community and society at large. From Marlo Turner-Ritchie, Executive Director of Head and Hands: “At the time of our requesting MULTIPLY’s support, we were looking for someone with experience in fundraising and capital campaigns to facilitate a discussion with our board. MULTIPLY brought our team to a new level of understanding and collaboration about our current project. Our efforts were validated and we had a strong sense of direction after Yvette’s support. Yvette is a firecracker facilitator! She has a strong ability to render more dry, theoretical concepts and practices more concrete, catering her examples to our sector’s reality. Well-prepared, motivating and genuine, she promotes the best practices and a sense of team spirit, no matter how challenging the objective. I was grateful for her ability to roll with challenges and to manage multiple opinions and concerns that were presented throughout the afternoon.” PRAXIS ART ACTUELAn artist-run visual arts centre located in the Laurentians, Praxis Art Actuel’s mission is to support, promote and present the work of professional and emerging visual artists. With little or no prior fundraising experience, Praxis went from raising an average of $1,000 per year in 2007 to launching a three-year $150,000 campaign in 2008 with the assistance of MULTIPLY. From Geneviève Matteau, Director of Praxis Art Actuel: “When I contacted Yvette, it was to learn how to conduct a successful fundraising campaign and for her to support us in our endeavour, since we had no experience and no time to waste. First we discussed who we are and how we could relate that to the business world. We conducted a financial research plan and an evaluation of our strengths and weaknesses. Then we created our objective… I am very pleased with the outcome. It pretty much was an incredible success. Yvette is someone who responds well to needs, listens to what is said and – although is very busy – is someone who follows up and is there to shoulder us. She is very good at strategy, of analyzing the situation at hand, and with finance committees. I sit on the board of the Regroupement des centres d'artistes autogérés du Québec, and I regularly tell our members to contact MULTIPLY.” INSTITUTE IN COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT-CONCORDIA UNIVERSITYThe Institute in Community Development of Concordia University contributes to build a democratic community by offering training programming for the nonprofit community. MULTIPLY worked closely with Mireille Landry as we intervened as fundraiser trainer in the Summer School program. From Mireille Landry, Training Coordinator: “Whether it was due to the training offered in collaboration (under the Institute in Community Development’s Summer Program), or by way of the Funding Change fundraising evenings, participants’ comments have always been the same: "High-quality and useful training that tackles relevant issues that affect the community... Yvette Rambour is a very dynamic and creative trainer who listens… MULTIPLY does an important job by helping community groups organize their work and diversify their base of support and funding. It is by working together that we can grow and effect change in order to improve the quality of life in our surroundings. It is with great pleasure that we continue to collaborate with MULTIPLY, and with Yvette Rambour and her colleagues.” Other clientsArts
