| 1) CONSULTATION |
MULTIPLY offers as variety of consultation services depending on your needs.
First, MULTIPLY will come in and perform an internal audit and strategic analysis of your organization, taking into account your resources and past projects. We will evaluate the status of your organization by having conversations with your key players, take stock of your main assets and past endeavours, and clarify your mission and vision. Based on this information, MULTIPLY will make a comprehensive diagnosis and offer an accurate overview of your current situation. MULTIPLY understands that there is no one methodology to follow for every organization, which is why we collaborate closely with you to create a tailor-made program that plays to your organization’s strengths. For instance, one organization may be exceptionally volunteer-oriented and in the position to run a special event, while another might not have the resources to make such an event a success. MULTIPLY evaluates your situation in order to recommend practical solutions that will work for you. Whether it’s about implementing a fundraising campaign, revising your strategic position, or readapting your general orientation, we accompany you in your professional development, helping you master the fundamental concepts and tools that will be the key to your future success. MULTIPLY will teach you how to integrate the principals of fundraising into your organization. Whether it is through capital campaigns, major gifts, annual strategies, or special events, we will work with your key players to determine which fundraising strategies will work best for your organization. We will also help you break down complicated and overwhelming fundraising theories and buzzwords and draft a realistic action plan that will provide the framework to help you attain your goals and achieve results for years to come.
Strategic Planning

MULTIPLY can help by performing a strategic operational overview of your organization and by conducting feasibility studies to help understand the larger community’s perception of your current situation and potential. Once that is done, we can assist you in the development of the deficient resources that will be needed in order to achieve your long-term goals.
Governance
By working closely with an organization’s board and staff, MULTIPLY is able to help nonprofits understand themselves better. We look at the role you play in the larger community, help you develop your mission and vision, take stock of your strengths and resources, and provide you with a direction for the future. Why was your organization founded in the first place? Are you doing now what you initially set out to do? How does the larger community see your effort? If you ceased to exist tomorrow, who would suffer? Working with you to develop the appropriate governance model for your organization, MULTIPLY helps you answer the questions we sometimes don’t think to ask: Who are we? Where are we going? And what do we need to get there?
Client / Consultant Relationship
Consulting is an ongoing relationship in which we are building something together, therefore MULTIPLY will be with you every step of the way. Some organizations might find that they will need extensive on-site consulting. Others might only need MULTIPLY’s coaching services, a more hands-off approach in which we offer periodic guidance to an organization’s active initiatives and projects. Others may even only require our mentorship services, where we serve as a sounding board to bounce off ideas or provide perspectives to a particular challenge. Clients can engage with MULTIPLY on any of these levels. It all depends on your needs.
Prospective clients must demonstrate, however, a readiness to embrace change in order to benefit fully from a consulting partnership with MULTIPLY. We have had tremendous success with our clients, but there has to be a sense of openness and teamwork for that to happen. Clients must be prepared to invest their time and resources in order to achieve their goals.| 2) WORKSHOPS |
MULTIPLY also offers a series of specialized and public workshops on a variety of topics. Whether it is for employees, board members, or a grouping of like-minded organizations, we are able to customize our workshops to your specific training needs.
Specialized Workshops

Specialized workshops are offered on-site for organizations with a particular or timely need. These training workshops are custom-made for your organization and can be adapted to the people who will attend them (employees, volunteers, board members). Specialized workshops enable an organization to develop its strengths and open up the lines of communication in both a fun and engaging way.
Whereas you need to improve your board efficiency, your fundraising methods or revise your strategic plan, we can provide specialized training which will help you with your goals.
Giving back to the community: You Asked for It!

In 2009, concerned by the lack of affordable professional trainings for nonprofits, MULTIPLY launched the series of free workshops: "You Asked for It!". This initiative is our way to give back to the community as we are well aware that resources are often very limited in the nonprofit sector. Also, we think that each nonprofit organization should be able to attend quality trainings to improve skills and better serve its own community. That is why we are proud to reintroduce this series as part of our programming:: You Asked for It! 2009-2010".
These workshops are appropriate for individuals with various levels of experience in the nonprofit sector – from novices wanting to grasp basic principals of nonprofit organizations, to the more seasoned person wanting to master new trends and techniques. They:
- provide the latest information in an interactive style
- involve a more practical approach to making things work
- train participants the most effective strategies to succeed in the nonprofit sector
- are a great way to meet other individuals struggling with similar issues
- offer a good network of support
